Bolt Inspection Machine

Bolt Inspection Machine

Overview

The Openex AI Vision Bolt Inspection Machine is designed to provide fully automated, non-contact inspection of bolts in high-volume production environments. Using advanced machine vision and deep learning technology, the system performs comprehensive dimensional measurements and defect detection with unmatched precision and speed.

From total length to thread details and head integrity, every bolt is analyzed and classified automatically to ensure consistent product quality and eliminate manual errors.

AI-Powered Defect Detection

One of the key challenges in bolt inspection is accurately identifying head cracks and six-side head cracks, which are often subtle and irregular. Openex developed a custom AI vision model specifically trained to overcome these detection difficulties. The model learns from large datasets of real defect samples to distinguish complex crack patterns in different lighting and surface conditions.

The AI system operates in real-time, ensuring no impact on production speed while improving detection accuracy and reducing false positives or misses.

Automation and Ease of Use

The bolt inspection machine integrates seamlessly with your production line, using a vibratory bowl feeder for orientation and a rotating disk system for 360° image capture. Pneumatic ejectors automatically separate defective and qualified parts.

The system offers intuitive operation through a user-friendly interface. No programming skills are required — operators can train or adjust inspection models in just a few minutes.

Global Support and Remote Assistance

Openex provides global service coverage. When delivering machines overseas, we offer AR remote guidance and video tutorials to assist customers with installation, debugging, and training. Our engineers can connect directly through AR interfaces to walk your team through setup and operation.

This ensures smooth machine startup and long-term operational stability, even across different time zones.
