The Openex Composite Gasket Inspection System is an AI-driven, high-speed visual inspection machine developed for detecting dimensional accuracy and surface defects in bonded stainless-steel and rubber gaskets. Designed for precision, reliability, and efficiency, it allows manufacturers to eliminate human error and ensure every gasket meets exacting quality standards.
Composite gaskets (also called combined gaskets or bonded gaskets) consist of a top stainless-steel layer and a bottom rubber sealing layer, offering waterproofing, dust protection, vibration damping, and reinforcement. However, the quality of the rubber bonding directly determines the gasket’s sealing performance and durability — making automated inspection essential.

AI Visual Inspection Advantages
Unlike conventional manual or 2D visual checks, Openex integrates multi-angle optical vision and deep-learning AI algorithms to identify microscopic delamination or bonding issues that are nearly invisible to the human eye.
Our engineering team specifically developed an oblique top-view inspection station to illuminate and analyze the bonding interface between the upper rubber layer and the steel base. By calculating the feature area ratio of the reflected image, the AI algorithm determines whether the product meets the bonding quality standard.
